1Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using TheKronometre.com (the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Service. You represent that you are at least 13 years of age, or that you are accessing the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2Description of Service

TheKronometre provides a browser-based precision timing suite consisting of:

• Online Stopwatch — Forward-counting timer with millisecond precision, lap recording, split tracking, and CSV data export.
• Online Countdown Timer — Configurable countdown with preset durations, custom alarms, progress visualization, and session history.
• Multi-Language Support — Interface available in 18 languages.

The Service operates entirely within your web browser using client-side technologies. No server-side processing of your timing data occurs at any point.

3User Accounts

TheKronometre does not require user registration, account creation, or authentication of any kind. The Service is fully accessible without providing any personal information. All user preferences (theme selection, sound settings, timer history) are stored locally in your browser's storage and are never transmitted to our servers.

4Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Service. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

• Using automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the Service in a manner that degrades performance for other users.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service's source code beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
• Reproducing, duplicating, or creating derivative works of the Service for commercial distribution without prior written consent.
• Introducing malicious code, viruses, or any technology that may harm the Service or its users' devices.
• Using the Service to conduct any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.

5Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to the design, layout, visual identity, "TheKronometre" name, logo, user interface, and all associated code — are and will remain the exclusive property of TheKronometre and its licensors.

6Disclaimer of Warranties

While TheKronometre leverages advanced web APIs for maximum accuracy, we do not warrant that:

• The timing precision will meet the requirements of any specific application, including but not limited to competitive athletics, scientific research, or industrial processes.
• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
• Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable under all hardware and browser configurations.
• Any defects in the Service will be corrected within any particular timeframe.

Browser-level throttling, device hardware limitations, background tab deprioritization, and operating system scheduling may affect timing accuracy. The Service should not be used as the sole timing reference for safety-critical or legally binding applications.

7Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TheKronometre and its operators, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
• Any discrepancies in timing measurements due to browser behavior, hardware performance, or network conditions.
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your locally stored data.
• Any third-party content, services, or conduct accessed through the Service.

In no event shall TheKronometre's total liability to you exceed the amount you have paid to use the Service, which is zero (free of charge).

8Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TheKronometre, its operators, contributors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources that are not owned or controlled by TheKronometre. These include but are not limited to:

• Third-party font providers — For typography delivery across the interface.
• Hosting infrastructure providers — For website hosting, deployment, and content delivery.

TheKronometre has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that TheKronometre shall not be liable for any damage or loss caused by the use of such third-party services.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time without prior notice or liability. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
